"I have read Kim Johnson's delightful stories to my grandchildren and they love them. Her own personality and uplifting spirit are reflected in her stories and that is good for our children..."

"Children will find delight in the journey of the spider and the mouse. This story is entertaining and exciting! It is sensitively illustrated with an important and valuable moral lesson. Young children can certainly become knowledgeable of the precious trait of honesty through the words of this story. This book should be among the most popular children's books and take its place with books that endure."

Felton A. Thomas, Ed. D.

"There is no greater delight than reading a really good book to children. I read to all three of my children and it was the highlight of our day as we settled into our newest book. Some books they wanted to hear over and over. The measure of a good book was when I enjoyed the book as much as they.

Kim Johnson's books are ones that both children and adults will enjoy reading over and over. She has captured a spirit of light-heartedness with delightful poetry, while subtly teaching lessons that parents will embrace."

Senator Ellie Kinnaird
The General Assembly of North Carolina

"Kimberly is a talented, enthusiastic individual who is deeply committed to literacy development. She shared her book, The Adventures of the Itty Bitty Frog with us. This is a delightful story that we all enjoyed listening to. Kimberly was well received by both students and teachers. We really enjoyed meeting her and we thoroughly enjoyed her presentations. We want her to come back to Aycock next year to work with our third and fourth grade students on improving their writing skills.

It is my pleasure to recommend Kimberly Johnson as a visiting author at your school. She is excellent."

"Mrs. Johnson's enthusiastic presentation truly captivated our students. She kept the interest of all grade levels, kindergarten through fourth. An extra bonus was the fact that her books have character development themes, which she took the time to discuss with the students at the end of each story. Our students were inspired to believe in themselves as she described how her dream to be an author had finally come true.

As a media coordinator, I feel that Mrs. Johnson's presentation was highly beneficial to our elementary students as we attempt to motivate them to be readers and writers, to develop good characters, and most of all to believe in their dreams. I highly recommend her to other elementary schools."

"I highly recommend Kimberly Johnson's clever presentation of her books for any group of children. She is entertaining reading of the book using various voices for the characters.

With a plot that focuses on helping others, the book readily fits our school's Character Education Project. Reinforced by Mrs. Johnson's follow-up discussion, the book's lessons of helping others and keeping promises were fully understood by the students who identify with the frog's struggle to return a baby bird to his nest.

We were fortunate to have our students meet the author as well as hear her valuable presentation, and we anxiously await her next book.

I consider Kimberly Johnson an extraordinary person whose book and/or presentation of her book would be an asset to any organization which works with children."
